Dasra, a leading Indian nonprofit organisation, wanted an identity
system for their newest venture called ClimateRISE Alliance (CRA),
a collaborative with over 65 partners aiming to enhance climate
resilience in India, focusing on vulnerable communities by fostering
consensus, integrating narratives for climate action, developing
strategic partnerships, and mobilizing resources for
community-centered climate action.
I took inspiration from the intertwining pattern seen in fabrics,
drawing parallels with the interconnectedness of communities and
came up with the ‘Jaali’ or the net as the main motif idea for the
symbol. I also came up with a set of colours meant to be kept
consistent throughout their different communication collaterals as part of the entore brand guidelines.
The entire design language brings a sense of vibrance and dynamism to a sector which is filled with hardships like funding, government red-tape and the suffering of marginalized communities. It helps clearly communicate their
commitment to climate action to individuals interested in joining CRA, to potential investors and donors and the common audience at large.

ILLUSTRATIONS Another requirement for the project was a set of illustrations to be used across CRA’s marketing collaterals like website, social media, articles, etc. to talk about the organisation’s work across sectors of climate policy reform, women empowerment, forest conservation and much more.
